Hi girls! Hope you're having a good week, first of all - it's my 21st birthday today! I wish I could say I'm having an amazing day but I fractured my leg a few days ago so I've been on crutches for quite a while - not exactly how I pictured my 21st. I've finally moved back home to London which has been lovely because I've got to see everyone again :) It's just a bit strange that I won't be heading back to Southampton in a few weeks to do any uni work. I am officially no longer in full time education...:S very surreal! Good news is, I finally found my birthday dress! It wasn't from my earlier post when I posted a range of birthday dress options, I opted for this little black dress but it's covered with sequins so it still is dressy and birthday girl appropriate. Hopefully my leg will be healed by the time I go out on Saturday - I'm still in shock at how clumsy I am?! I didn't fall or walk into anything - I simply stepped funny. Typical Jade, just typical. I guess the upside is, I can watch as much Snapped - Women Who Kill on the TV, I am seriously addicted to this program!

Now for today's post I thought I would do a wish list that was quite specific to the latest summer trends but I've tried to include my a variety of different styles. I think I'm quite specific with my own personal style, so I thought I'd mix it up a little bit. You can still see that I would love to have every item on here though! I need to start saving up...and have a walking leg would be a good start too. My favourite item would have to be the Victoria Beckham Leather Tote bag and the Zara Sandals. I need them in my life and wardrobe! I'm going to attempt to hop downstairs to make some dinner...this is a lot harder than it sounds. I want my leg to heal and go back to normal now! innocence ♥



Please excuse my moody facial expressions in these photos, for some reason I can't smile without looking like an excited chipmunk. Lets get straight to the outfit today, I'll save my rambling on food and films for later. These are the faux leather trousers that I bought in the sale at New Look, they were only £7, reduced from £23. Not too shabby if I do say so myself. Now I know tight fake leather trousers aren't everyones cup of tea, but I love the whole Buffy 90's tight leather look. We can blame Joss Whedon for this - or in particular Sarah Michelle Gellar because of how amazing she can pull off leather on leather. The leather jacket is £52 from Miss Selfridge and the top was the orange version of what I wore yesterday - I don't know what top I prefer? I also switched my shoes after this photo, I'm getting bored of these pumps -_- I ended up wearing gold sandals so even though my clothes look slightly wintery, I still added summer sandals into the mix! 

I haven't had any luck finding a leather pleated skirt, its on top of my wish list, but they are ridiculously over priced on eBay at the moment - why, oh why didn't I buy the leather skirt in Primark?! I'm currently bidding on some Whitney Houston CD's, I seriously have an obsession with this woman. 
Harri bought X - Men cartoons yesterday so we're going to eat the rest of our poor attempt of Nando's food. Lets just say chef is out of our career options... I've managed to start packing all of my uni stuff up, I haven't cried yet but I know I will. I'll never be in Southampton again, my uni life is over, over! But don't get me wrong, I am so excited to go back home to London and start my working career in fashion and beauty journalism. I just can't wait to start working and not live of Asda Smart Price food anymore! Also, I still haven't found my birthday dress yet :( I'm going up to central London on Sunday with the best friend to find something - fingers crossed I find that Lipsy dress in the sale ;) Don't worry I won't hold my breath...sigh. end of days ♥



Hi girls, hope your week is going well. I am currently in uni typing this post after just having Toby Carvery - I've never eaten so much in my life. So much for me being healthy... Since I've finished uni, I've pretty much been DVD bound - I watched Single White Female last night, I loved it! It reminds me of Fatal Attraction with Glenn Close especially with the whole stalker thing. After I do this post, I'm running off to Asda to buy rice, chicken and cheese - I'm trying to re create Nandos... Earlier I was popping into charity shops looking for old Whitney Houston CD's, alas I found none. I did find a brown belt though which will look quite 80's if I wrap it around one of my blazers. I can't believe this is my last week being in Southampton, I have to get packing before my dad drives down to get me. He rang me up yesterday and left me a voicemail saying: "Hi Jade, it's your dad, Ralph, I'm bringing you sticky labels so you can label your stuff!" I don't know why my dad felt like he had to name himself in this voicemail but it did make me laugh. I haven't even started packing yet, I swear I'll do it tonight, if my Nando's cooking session doesn't distract me too much. Has anyone else tried recreating Nandos?!

Yesterday I spent all day recovering from my uni birthday night out, I had such a nice time and it was lovely seeing everyone. Plus I did my Lady Gaga Bad Romance dance in front of everyone ;) I'm proud of my Gaga dance moves... Now for yesterday's outfit, I quickly ran and had a catch up lunch with Kirsty, my old housemate. Because of my large headache and vampire relationship with daylight yesterday, my sunglasses were needed. I'd like to add that I wasn't that pale, my camera washes me out! My leather trousers are of course from H&M for £14 and the blazer was a Christmas present (also from H&M). The top was from Primark and it was in the sale section for only £2 - not too shabby for a basic t-shirt. I also got it in orange which I'll probably wear tomorrow. I'm trying to branch out from my usual white and black strap tops - I need more colourful tops in my wardrobe! Especially with summer slowly approaching. I'm going to be cheeky and try and find that black Primark pleated skirt on eBay, wish me luck.

(a late) May Wish List ♥

Okay so this is a late May wish list but its better late than never, right? When I move back home to London, I'm going to start saving and working for my dad occasionally so for the first time in three years, I'll actually have money! This is the only plus side I'm finding about leaving Southampton - I only have four days left here :S I can't believe how fast three years have gone, I was looking at the really early blog posts from Fairytale Kiss and it's nice to see how it's slowly improving - we all remember how I used to colour my text a little too often... While I'm writing this, I'm watching a Youtube video on how to do the Bad Romance dance by Lady Gaga - all my friends can do it but me! hahaha sad I know, but it is a pretty cool dance ;) My plan for today is to clean the house and get ready for the party tonight - lets hope the house doesn't get too messy otherwise I'll go Bruce Lee on everyone...in the nicest way possible ;) I watched The Devil Wears Prada last night and words can't express how much I love this film. Is it me, or is the moral of the story don't have a boyfriend? I would never give up Andrea's career though! But seeing as she never wanted to be in the fashion industry, I can see where she's coming from. I want to see the September Issue - can you believe I've never seen it?! I'm adding that to my wish list!

This wish list has come at a good time seeing as its my birthday in nine days - I'm going to be 21! I won't be checking for wrinkles just yet. Anyway, for this months wish list I've noticed that my choices are slightly black and white themed - maybe I'm not in a colourful mood lately. If I could pick one item from this list, it would be the pleated leather skirt by Karl Sachi. This would be perfect to dress up and to dress down, I remember that Primark did something very similar to this so I might eBay it. If you haven't noticed by now, I wear black faux leather even in the winter - I'm addicted! The second item that I am hunting for is the Topshop denim shorts, this particular style of shorts is everywhere right now and I think they would look amazing with a pair of stilettos and one of my blazers. I've included the Lipsy dress in there too just because I'd love that as my birthday dress, I think £110 is a tad out of my price range though :( It's okay, I'll start my dress hunt when I get home. I'm going to start my getting ready routine for tonight, which lets face it, does take quite a while. I've been very good recently, I haven't used a lot of heat products on my hair so it'll be odd using a hair dryer and GHD's on it! Military Meets Pastel ♥





Right now I am listening to Britney Spears and eating carrots – I’ll admit it’s an odd combination but since I’ve finished all my uni work, I’m free to eat carrots to my hearts content. The past few days have been lovely and relaxed because I handed in my last bit of uni work on Wednesday, now I’m free as a bird. I wish I could say I’ve done something life changing since I handed all my work in, but it has consisted of shopping, food, DVDs and more food. I need to take more pictures of the clothes I bought yesterday but the blazer in the photo above was also a recent purchase. As you know, I am blazer obsessed, I’ve been saying for weeks now that I want a wardrobe filled with different coloured blazers. Well, I bought this light pastel pink blazer from Primark for only £15.00 - isn’t it gorgeous?! Even though my camera is painfully crap, the colour of the blazer in the photo is actually the same as how it looks in normal light - we all know my camera isn’t the best at capturing good quality photos… And my amazing best friend was shopping in Topshop last week and she found a yellow blazer in the sale! She knows how obsessed I am with Kim Kardashian and the yellow blazer looks just like hers – the best part is, it was £65 and I’ll only have to pay £20. When I go back home to London, I’ll do an outfit post with it. So in total I have 6 blazers now - red, green, white, black, pink and yellow! What other colours should I get? I’m thinking maybe a nude shade?

The shoes were £7 and the military trousers were £14 (you might have seen them in older posts). I love this outfit because it’s casual but still smart, plus I don’t usually wear light pink, so it’s a nice change. I don’t know where to begin with my hair…I’m trying to grow it out and get rid of the light brown at the ends, if anyone asks – I’ve dip-dyed it hahaha. I tried to curl it with my GHD’s but for some reason the left side doesn’t look curly at all, I swear it looked fine before I got my camera out! My hair hates me -_- Anyway, after doing this post I need to tidy my house because I’m having a house party tomorrow – its Fairy Tale/Disney fancy dress. Is it bad that I prefer my Red Riding Hood costume to some of my going out dresses?! I really need to go dress shopping I’m so bored of all my evening outfits! Do you ever get that feeling? Yesterday night Harri came round and we watched Hercules and Chance, it’s a film with James Marsters in – we all know I’m Spike obsessed. I think tonight I’m going to tidy then go to Tesco’s to buy some drink for tomorrow. Apparently Red Bull and Malibu is really nice? I might make punch for everyone! My Week So Far ♥




Hi girls! Hope you're having a good week, firstly, sorry for the poor quality of my pictures...I really need to get a new camera. Although I do like the close up of the food ;) Yes I'm in uni now and I am starving. I have great news as well - I've finally handed in my Final Major Project! Can you believe I started it last summer? I still have one feature left to do then voila I'm all finished and back to London - well after my Disney/fairy tale fancy dress birthday. My mum read my post about my red riding hood outfit where I said "that's if my mum can move her toosh and send it in the post" hahaha - she posted it today so thank you mother if you're reading this. Tomorrow I'm going to the cinema to watch The Avengers - ahhh I'm so excited! Has anyone seen it yet? (I feel I am a bit late) Isn't Robert Downey Jr. perfection - very lickable. The highlight of course will be the nachos and hot dog, the things I get excited about...sigh. I also went shopping last week and I bought this lovely Primark blazer - we know I'm developing a blazer addication.

I want a wardrobe filled with every type of blazer! I keep looking for a yellow one like Kim Kardashian's, or her wardrobe in general would be fine. So far I've got black, red, white and this green turquoise one. It was only £15 so I think thats pretty amazing for a blazer. I can't wait until I have a proper job and I can shop! I'll finally be a working girl and not a student :) Although working girl sounds slightly like a hooker...maybe I should rephrase that haha. Anyway, I got the two Barbie lip glosses from Asda and it turns out, they're sweets -_- I thought they were make-up, I was so upset! I'm such a douche haha. If anyone asks, its Barbie MAC... Oh and please ignore my poorly styled hair in the first photo, I'm trying to grow my hair and where I had it dark blonde..well in normal light it looks like I've dip-dyed it haha. I'm back to writing this feature then I need food! If any of you are doing your last year of uni work - I hope its going well! :) I'll let you know what I think of The Avengers ;) Have a good weeks girls! ♥

The 21st Dress ♥

Hi girls! Hope you're having a good week - I've had enough of doing uni work. It's a week until my final deadline and I am exhausted. All I do is spell check and type, type then spell check. I think doing a post will get me back to my normal routine! I don't really have anything excited to report - I'm going to the cinema tomorrow to see Cabin in the Woods if that counts? Nachos will be my highlight of the week! As you can see, my healthy eating plan is slowly fading away...I'm still exercising though, so I think that's some progress. I can't believe I have a week left of university - FOREVER. What am I going to do after?! I've been applying for internships but alas I've had no replies... Any tips you could give me would be amazing! Are any of you nearing deadlines? You should see how crammed the uni library is right now, the guy next to me might as well be sitting on my lap -_- I've treated myself for handing in some work early, I bought Angel season 3 on DVD and Red Riding Hood, no one I know really likes that film. I love it! How do you treat yourself when your work is going well? Mine is apparently DVDs and hot baths. Back to the post, my 21st birthday is coming up (on the 24th) and I am on the hunt for a birthday dress.

Now, for me personally, I think your 21st birthday dress should be a shorter version of a red carpet dress, so this means: glamour, glitter and more glamour! I want a gold, sequin style dress that is slightly fitted. I love these dresses that I've picked, I just wish I could afford them all. I've included some designer ones, such as the black Gucci dress, isn't it gorgeous?! I think I like number 8 the most, I love how the fabric looks. Now what type of birthday would you buy? Do you think you should dress glittery or keep it simple? I hope that if its your birthday coming up, you'll get some good inspiration from these dresses. I think we'll be going Cafe De Paris or No5 Cavendish - I hate organising things like this though :( Can't I just turn up and wear my dress?! I'm also having my birthday up in Southampton, which is fancy dress themed, I've decided to do it on fairy tales! I might go as Belle from Beauty and the Beast or be cheeky and wear my Red Riding Hood costume again - that's if my mum can move her toosh and send it in the post! I can't believe I left it at home in London..I'm such a dope! Anyway, I'm going to go home, hope my Angel DVD's have been posted and eat! Bikini Tumblr Girls ♥

Hi girls! Hope you’re having a good weekend, I have been stuck in my room for the past few days typing away at features and sticking things in my research book. When it’s all finished, I’ll have to show you my MAC research book – I love it! I've created a MAC contract magazine from scratch and based it on Glamour. Because its my magazine, I could fit in as much Kim K and Cheryl as I wanted! Ahhh happy days haha :) Are any of you adding the final touches to your uni work? I have no idea whether I’m ahead or behind – my tutor says I’ll probably get a first in my Final Major Project so I’m happy, happy, happy! Between doing features, I’ve managed to squeeze in a few Angel episodes and make those ice cream milkshakes…Not very healthy. But this brings me to what today’s post topic is going to be about!
For today’s post I wanted to steer it more into the fitness/diet section. We all know that bikini season is creeping up on us and I want to get started early with my exercising. Lately, I have been eating absolute rubbish and I just can’t stop eating it. I’m really unhappy with how my stomach is looking and my thighs just aren’t toned at all - so I am actually going to do something about it. Before I start explaining my fitness plan, I just want to say that I don’t want to be a size 0 stick figure - the images I’ve used are just what motivate me to have a healthier body. I know I can never look like these girls - I just admire the dedication they have for being toned and lean! And I’ll include my jealously in there too ;). Here is what I’ve been eating so far:

Breakfast                                                         

  • Cheerio’s with semi skimmed milk
Snacks
  • Muller light yoghurt
  • As much fruit as possible (apples, berries, banana)
Lunch

  • Soup
Dinner

  • Rice with vegetables and tuna
I’m also trying to drink 8 glasses of water too…for some reason, I can’t stand water. I have no idea why? Now I’m pretty happy with what I’ve been eating these past two days, I don’t feel like I need to run to KFC (which is very common for me). I know it sounds slightly weird eating rice with tuna but I love it! Anyway, now for the exercise routine I’m starting:
  • 30 minutes on my stepper machine
  • 20 minutes of cardio (Pump it up work out DVD – It’s amazing!)
  • 20 reps on my weights
  • 30 arm circles
  • 10 sit ups
 
Because I haven’t exercised in forever, I’m starting pretty slow and breaking this routine up over the course of my day. I’m making sure to stretch before and after I start and my water bottle is glued to my side! I hate doing the sit ups with a passion though -_-
I wanted to include some pictures that motivate me and some bikini's I want to fit into by the summer! Disclaimer: All the images I’ve found belong to Tumblr – I don’t own anything! This fitness plan is what I personally think will work for me and I am not saying there is anything wrong with treating yourself with some fatty treats once in a while! :) Let me know what you think of my diet plan and if I need to change anything, also – other than crunches, are there any other ways to tone my abs?! What's In My Make-Up Bag ♥


Hi girls! Sorry for the major lackage of blog posts this week, I suck. I’ve been putting the final touches to my Final Major Project – can you believe I’ve basically finished it?! I remember asking you all to do a survey about it last year! Time is going too quick, I officially have 21 days left at Southampton Solent University :S It really hasn’t sunk in yet, although my mum dragging the majority of my possessions into her car yesterday was a big wake up call. That woman wastes no time haha.
For today’s post, I wanted to do an update to What’s in my make-up bag, I did one in September but I’ve bought a few more goodies since then. First of all, my apologies for the crappy make-up bag, its slightly lumpy but it carries everything in there! To start with the lip products, I have the Bourjois lipstick in shade colour – it’s my favourite red lipstick, perfect for dressing an outfit up. The next is my YSL lip-gloss, this baby was given to me by the fabulous more! magazine team. I think it’s worth more than my entire make-up collection but it’s worth it! It has a lovely creamy formula to it. Next is my L’Oreal Glam Shine lip-gloss, such a pretty shade and the applicator brush is very precise. Finally are my Revlon, 17 and Body Shop lip glosses, these are perfect for adding a pop of colour to my look. The Revlon one always gets stuck on my teeth though -_-      


These products are used for my face and eyes. I’m trying to not use eyeshadow at the moment because I feel like I’m putting too much on. I’m being strict here! Haha. My favourite product has to be the Estee Lauder bronzer, I got it from a set years ago and I still have it. It is an amazing bronzer and I also use it for contouring. When it comes to mascaras, I have to have the L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes, it is my all time favourite mascara. I have really short lashes so its perfect for adding length!


I’ve just finished my Fashion Freelancer seminar – more work to cram in! Sorry if I haven’t replied to any emails yet, I will go through them after this blog post. I don’t really think I have any exciting to report – I’ve spent the past few days watching Keeping up with the Kardashian’s and drinking ice cream and milk from a cup (it’s a lot nicer than it sounds haha). My housemate Louise has moved out early because she got a job back home – the house is so quiet without her in it. I haven’t blown up anything without her yet so I think this is progress. Are any of you finishing uni in the next few months? I’m going to do another post for tomorrow then I’m back home and getting into bed –I’m feeling a bit rough :( Hope you’re having a good week girls!
